Arising from the dialogue session at the recent courtesy visit made by the Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE) to the National Council for Tibb (NCT) on Tuesday 11th June 2019, both organizations agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
The ceremony began with exchange of greetings between Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, President, NCT and Mr. Muhammad Sarwar, Secretary, The ACSE followed by a formal introduction of both team members.
Continuing this Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari addressed the audience with a brief background of National Council for Tibb, and importance and Emerging Trends of Tibb worldwide, along with the purpose of this joint venture between the ACSE and NCT for a long term co-operative relationship and collaboration.
Next to him Ms. Maryam Sayab, Professional Development Manager of The ACSE briefly introduced the audience with the Council’s mission, motivation, activities as well as products and services to facilitate sound understanding between both of the Council’s members.
Moving forward to the major segment of MOU signing Ceremony, Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, President, NCT, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mr. Muhammad Sarwar, Secretary, The ACSE to establish and facilitate mutual support in scientific research & publications as well as the exchange of technical and scientific information with key expertise in order to lift the academic and publishing industry of the Pakistan.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by key experts including but not limited to Muhammad Imran Pasha, Zesshan Ashraf, Hakeem Ahmad Saleemi (NCT), Dr. Riffat M. Qureshi (PAS), Hakeem Hafiz Muhammad Younas (NCT), Hakeem Abdul Wahid Shamsi (NCT), Hakeem Muhammad Yousaf (NCT), Hakeem Bashir Bhervi (NCT), Dr. Muhammad Ismail (NCT), Hakeem Abdul Khaliq (NCT), Hakeem Rizwan Haider Gillani (NCT), Hakeem Siddiqu Saifi (NCT) and Dr. Prof. Raza Bhatti (HEC)
The Ceremony was followed by a networking lunch, discussion and group photo with Prof. Dr. M. D. Shami Member, HEC, Prof. Dr. M. Qasim Jan, President, PAS and Prof. Dr. M. Aslam Baig, Secretary General PAS.
